Our strength: tailor-made cogeneration systems
Cogeneration and trigeneration are one of our company’s main strengths. We design and build customized systems, designed to meet the real energy needs of our customers and generate concrete value over time.
Thanks to our experience in plant engineering, we develop containerized or on-site systems that can be adapted to different production contexts and usage profiles. Each project is based on an in-depth analysis of the plant’s electricity, heating, and cooling consumption.
From requirements to project
Our method always starts with data. We analyze energy requirements and develop a feasibility study supported by a business plan, which allows the customer to clearly evaluate benefits, investments, and economic returns.
Once the project is underway, we carry out the detailed design in-house, selecting the most suitable engine with a multi-brand approach (Jenbacher, Rolls-Royce, MWM), thus enabling us to identify the best solution.
A single point of contact
We manage all phases internally: design, construction, installation, start-up, and maintenance. Installations are carried out directly by our staff, ensuring control, technical consistency, and reliable timing.
Experience and applications
We have been operating in the cogeneration sector since 2015 and today we collaborate with the leading Italian energy players (ESCos) and the most important companies in the agri-food and packaging supply chain.
We design plants with power ratings ranging from 300 kW to 8 MW, tailored to the operational and production needs of each customer.
IRCI cogeneration plants, built using pre-assembled containerized modules powered by natural gas, simultaneously produce electricity and heat with much higher efficiency than traditional systems. IRCI handles the executive design, optimizing sizing and performance to reduce payback times and maximize energy savings. The solutions are developed to operate in CAR, allowing the obtaining of White Certificates and GSE incentives. Benefits include economic savings, reduced emissions, high reliability, full service maintenance, and fully customized, turnkey solutions.
Trigeneration allows for the simultaneous production of electricity, heat, and cooling, maximizing the use of primary energy. IRCI designs and manufactures customized trigeneration systems that are integrated into production processes and sized according to actual usage profiles. Through careful analysis of requirements and a technical-economic feasibility study, we develop solutions that improve the overall efficiency of the plant, reduce consumption, and increase the energy autonomy of the facility, ensuring reliability and operational continuity.
The biogas plants developed by IRCI are designed according to the production cycles of companies and exploit organic biomass through anaerobic digestion, generating biogas (mainly a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide) that can be used for energy production.
We design plants ranging in size from 250 to 999 kW, specifically for companies in the agri-food sector that want to transform effluents and by-products into an energy resource. The solutions are modular and configured to meet regulatory and incentive requirements, reducing management/disposal costs and improving the sustainability of the production site.
Consolidated and reliable plants, with customized configurations based on available matrices, spaces, and customer objectives. The biomass that can be used includes agricultural, livestock, and agri-food by-products that comply with current regulations.
IRCI heat recovery systems, built in containerized modules, use heat exchangers to recover the thermal energy contained in combustion fumes, which is normally dispersed into the atmosphere. The heat is transferred to ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) systems, which use a fluid capable of vaporizing at low temperatures to drive turbines and produce electricity. This technology offers high efficiency, low component wear, and no additional emissions. IRCI designs and installs complete systems, integrating heat exchangers and ORC modules into turnkey solutions. The main benefits include GSE incentives, a zero-cost energy source, rapid economic returns, high reliability, and reduced maintenance.
